SERMS Begins GO FAR! Fitness Program

GO FAR:  It’s time for GO FAR (Go Out For A Run) again!  We are offering this training program for students at SERMS. GO FAR is a comprehensive fitness program that promotes Healthy eating habits, Physical activity, Goal setting, and Good character.

In addition, GO FAR progressively trains children over an 8-week period to safely complete a 5K (3.1 miles) walk/run event.  This builds great confidence in a child!

We will offer this 8-week program starting Friday, February 8th to prepare students to complete a 5K event on Saturday, May 4th. We will be meeting  two times per week on Monday and Friday to train the children and teach them about healthy lifestyles. Please remind the students that there is also a 25.00 fee for race entry.
