Students Create Circuits
Students Create Circuits

Students at Southeastern Randolph now have a new space to explore, imagine and create - a Makerspace. The area is set up in the school's media center. Students can enjoy visiting the Makerspace before school and during the school day. While the area is a work in progress, there are several activities available to students. Media Coordinator Scarlet Auman has noted the area is very popular, especially in the mornings before the start of the school day. The idea behind the Makers Movement includes allowing learners to envision, create, innovate, play, experiment, collaborate, share, and think outside the box. The Media Center received a Randolph County Endowment Grant which was used to purchase activities centering on circuits, programming and coding, and visual arts.
